A Conference & Collection
In 2018, a new network of cannabis experts and activists came together at Strathclyde University to discuss policy and history. Governments in places as diverse as Uruguay, Portugal, and the USA have made significant alterations to cannabis policies over the last decade, and others such as Canada have committed to legalization. And the conference participants were thrilled to add to scholarship and policy.
Afterward, the conference participants agreed that we should try to write up the proceedings. In late 2018, The MIT Press contracted the book, which is now in peer review. Stay tuned for more updates about the book’s release. It is hoped that readers will be able to get a copy in their hands by 2021.

During the conference, participants had the option to film short videos and then write up blogs about their papers. These can be read and watched at Points: The Blog of the Drug and Alcohol History Society
